Dryer Vent Wizard of Summit County kicked off with my first satisfied customer on November 29, 2016! It was a very meaningful day to me and we had a lot to celebrate; not only was it my opening day and first job, but it was also my Dad's 84th Birthday!
I grew up in the Kansas City area with my Mom, Dad and 3 older brothers. We’ve always been a super close family and still are today! My wife Laurel and I met in Chicago, where we both lived and worked, before moving to Medina, OH where we have now lived and raised our 2 daughters for 20 great years. Both of our girls are smart, beautiful, funny, and are seeking careers in the nursing field. Our family also includes our Brittany Spaniel Snickers, our Aussie Zoey, and of course the 2 cats, Emi and Gracie.
When I’m not cleaning dryer vents, I enjoy fishing, meticulous yard work, music of all kinds, and I have been deemed by many as a charcoal grill master! Laurel and I also have been involved with our daughters school and sports activities. Over the years, we have supported the teams (soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, cross country) and volunteered in providing food, water, and snacks at events. We always choose local merchants whenever possible and have a base of friends in the community that have the same passions.
I have always been a driven individual and only worked for 2 large corporations in my professional life (Sherwin Williams and WW Grainger). At both companies I succeeded in operations management and sales, as well as enjoyed great relationships with many great people. Having climbed the ladder, it came time to build something of my own.
I was drawn to Dryer Vent Wizard simply based on the safety factor of dryer fire prevention. I find that awareness is generally low of how dangerous lint buildup is in dryers. Many of the customers I service share a similar issue: their vent lines, having been out of sight and out of mind for too long, have become completely clogged with lint. I’ve also come across situations where the homeowner doesn’t know where the dryer vent terminates, and, through some investigation, I find that the line vents into the attic. This can cause a number of issues for the homeowner including humidity that leads to mold problems. I’m concerned about the safety of every customer I service and aim to leave their homes with clean, safe dryer vents that are up to code and prevent unnecessary health risks while aiding in the performance of their dryer.
We take appointments from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, as well as morning and afternoon appointments on Saturday. If you need to schedule service outside of the hours listed above, please contact us, as we also offer some 6pm evening appointments during the week!
